  1. 7.00 AM Meet the team

Starting out in the city of Bangor, you will meet your support crew for the weekend who will take your bags onward to the nights accommodation leaving you unencumbered to set out on the first leg of the challenge.

After a briefing from your guides you will start out on the bike, with a ride that will take you around the best bits of the Snowdonia National Park. You will be rewarded with some amazing views across the stunning scenery of North Wales, which will help to take your mind off the climbs! But don’t worry it’s not all about the big climbs, there are plenty of flat bits to rest the legs, and as with all things, what goes up must come down, so all that climbing effort is rewarded with some great descents.

When you roll into camp this evening, your bags will be ready and waiting, so you just need to grab a refreshing hot shower (or dip in the lake) and join the rest of the team around the camp fire for dinner. We are very lucky to have Jones’ Pizza Co. right on our campsite, who provide some of the very best pizzas around, and have some special flavour combinations to try out. they also do great fresh coffee and breakfast rolls in the morning.

  2. 8.00 AM Day two

After a good nights sleep it’s back on the trail. Day two sees you heading out in canoes across Llyn Gwynant, paddling to the start of your walk up Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales. At the summit there will be a chance to grab a drink from the cafe with the (possibly) best view in Wales before descending to Pen-Y-Pass where a celebratory drink awaits.

After reflecting back on your adventures with the rest of your team, you can choose to either carry on your adventure in North Wales, or Wildlands can transfer you and your bike back to Bangor for your homeward journey.

Kerouac

Adventures in the mountains, on the rivers and in the lakes of the UKs wildest places.

Probably one of the finest ridge scrambles in the UK, Crib Goch is an airy traverse from Pen-Y-Pass to the summit of the highest mountain in Wales, Snowdon. It is a fantastic adventure for those with a head for heights.

Accommodation

The accommodation on this challenge is in tents. You may choose to bring your own, or Wildlands can provide one for you. You will be required to bring your own mat and sleeping bag.

The camp site has very good facilities: hot showers, good toilets, fire pits and of course beautiful views.

The pizza kitchen has some limited supplies of drinks as does the campsite shop. If you have any specific requirements it is worth stocking up before you arrive.
