Welsh Borders Cycle

from £549.00

A cycle event unique to Wildlands, the Welsh Borders cycle is a fantastic and challenging 3 day journey through some of the most stunning countryside in the UK. As you ride the entire length of the Welsh-English border this adventure will take you through the historic border country as you travel from Chester, in the North, down to Chepstow at the southern end of the border.

The Welsh borders cycle covers a distance of 210 miles over 3 days, and passes through some of the most picturesque and remote parts of the country.

All about the Welsh Borders Cycle.

Leaving from the banks of the River Dee just North of the city of Chester, you will ride out across the Cheshire plains, before heading South through Snowdonia National Park and on towards Welshpool where we will spend our first night.

in the morning it’s back to the hills as we keep riding South and in to the wilds of the Black Mountains, with some awe inspiring climbs taking you in to some of the most remote cycling in the borders. This day is truly an adventure! The second days riding finishes up in the picturesque market town of Hay-On-Wye where you will have a well earned rest.

The final day sees us leaving Hay-On-Wye well rested and ready for the day ahead. The shortest day, but still with a few challenges thrown in! A few climbs through the hills of South Wales will get the heart started for the day, before a more sedate finish as we cycle along the river Wye past Symonds Yat and the famous Tintern Abbey before arriving in Chepstow, the site of the oldest stone castle in Britain, where our ride will finish with a well earned celebratory drink on the banks of the River Severn.

You will be accompanied by an experienced cycle leader and a support vehicle at all times, leaving you to enjoy the ride knowing that everything is taken care of.
